Annual Charity Fundraising Concert 2003
Last year's St Matthew's Parish Ball featured dancers from Bellydance Logan City to set the mood for our "Arabian Nights" themed Ball.
So inspired were we by Debbie Larcombe and her troupe, that we rang Debbie and formed our own group. On Saturday 2nd August, we danced in our first concert, with veils-a-trembling.
The following is a selection of the photos from the night. Apologies to Jill for gouging out her eye in the process, leaving her in agony when the champagne wore off the next morning. It's obviously a dangerous sport. Thanks to Debbie for keeping us shimmying with lots of laughs.
On 7th May next year (2004), we are getting together a group of about a dozen of us for a 3 week trip to Turkey. We will have our own bus, guide and driver at our every whim! Here's the itinerary. Anyone interested, let me know as soon as possible, at [email protected].
